Doug Happy B-day!
It was a great place. Big tall pine trees.
The course was very nice.
There were not enough poopers though and it was very dusty.
There were no palmetto bushes no scrub so if you wanted to pass someone you went through this tall green vegetation that was kinda smooth.
On the second lap I caught up to the leader and the only way to pass was in the green stuff it was my first time blazing a new trail.
You never know whats down there. But got through and I was all smiles.
THe camp area was in a big circle and the track kinda did a half circle around it. Too dusty though.
The sign up area was way off in timbuck two.
The start was way far away and if didnt have a pit vehicle I wouldnt have even bothered to walk down there. It had to be atleast a 2 mile walk.
We hooked up Trent from Fort Meyers and he had 2 quads we could use to get around with.
Overall it was great race and great track. This club tried really hard to put on a great event for the long drive.
Oh I pullled out a first place.
We didnt leave untill 8pm and we got home at 1:30 am.
One more race I hope everyone can make that one. It would like to be nice to hang out with eveyone one last time before the summer heat is here.

Well, first things first.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOUG!!!!!! jump2:
The track was not was expected! There were "slight" off cambers,l and I didn't see a TT track. The last half of the course you could drive a truck through...the beginning of the course was rough and there wasn't any room to pass...but overall it was fast and open. As for the positive...the property was beautiful! There was one great elevation change which took you down into a pit...it was nice & not dusty. The beginning and end of the course was VERY rough but in the middle of the course it was flat (jeep trails) - it was nice to get a break and get a drink.
After the race the property owner stopped a few of us and asked what we thought and said that it was his first time doing this and wanted the good and the bad written or e-mailed to him because he would like to make it better for next year. So, that was nice that he cared!
Oh...and Dooski made a great point...there were VERY few port-o-lets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By 9 AM they were out of "TP" and almost full!!! I think I counted "maybe" 6!!! That was pretty gross!!
The turn out was small compared to all other races. There were only 3 women and 3 golden girls. The C class was around 20-25 instead of the normal 40-50. But thank God for the small turnout cause the dust was AWFUL! I still feel congested and am coughing, it was bad. It just seemed to hover over the course due to lack of rain.
Phil felt something funny in practice and he come to find out the his frame broke in half on one side so was unable to race
ash:
I raced and won, crashed once which has left me with a VERY sore left hip...it is bruised and swollen. :o But as always...I will live!!! :D
I am looking forward to the last race...it sounds like it will be great...hope everyone will make it!!!!!!!eyebrows:

I think the small turn out was cause its a far drive and its at the end of the season where mabye the only ones that showed were to defend their points or try to get a few more points they badly need to try to pull off a year end win.
I know for the last race I dont have to show and I think that is gonna be a small turn out too.
Im still gonna race though, its to much fun to pass up.
See ya down there.
Doug you coming down for the last one?
