04 trx450r sputters at mid 2 full throttle

I have a 04 450r its been sitting for a year.it started right up but sputters at mid 2 top end.i drained the gas tank,cleaned the stock carb,new plug,new airfilter.and no change. it ran perfect when i put it away.anytips would be appreciated!!!!

I no if i rode it i wouldnt have this problem!!!!
Well im free again so i can ride all i want now!!!!

Sounds like a clogged main jet to me. (Somewhere above idle, too mid throttle, is when the main jet and needle starts to come into play.)

Throwing darts over the internet I would make sure the main jet and needle are squeaky clean.

Sounds like the carb need's a good cleaning and put it back together and ride it like you stole it,9/08/07 count down.thumpsup:thumpsup:

Cleaned carb total disassemble third time.its not the carb.not even riding u give it alot of gas and it keeps surging/sputtering but not backfiring.doh:

Sounds like the flux capaciter is acting up.
Really does it sound like it is breaking up electrically? Maybe some dielectic grease on all the connections including the CDI? Maybe soemthing you used to use as cleaner corroded some wiring?
I too thougt carb had a buger in it somewhere. When you say you cleaned it, did you use compressed air to blow out all the little holes and orfices? I did not once, and that was why I was not able to rid a spec of crap from my carb.
If that fails, T Kiser has a Yamaha you can buy hehehe j/k
