View Full Version : CONGRATS AND THANKS
I just wanted to congradulate all you guys that finished that race yesterday that was brutal. Phil is the new man for the A class with a strong 4th place finish. David said you could have come around him anytime he was just so tired. JEN of course the queen in class beating the next person in her class buy 8 minutes. (WELCOME TO B CLASS JEN :D). Paul well what can we say about Paul im pretty sure he won, but then again he didnt have much competition this year. Mark im sorry I didnt see how you finished. There where alot of C's out there, I seen you go by and you where about mid pack when I was out in the woods.
Me, well what can I say just another reason to sell this quad. I think the bike is jinxed and it hates me. Was in the tail of the B class but still had 6 B class behind me at the 5 mile mark. Just to throw a chain in one of those whoops/kickers. I got the chain jerry rigged back on (thank god for safety wire) and nursed it back to the pits. Its a good thing I guess I didnt finish. I was leaking oil pretty good out the left side of the bottom end so who knows what problems I have now.
As for thanks, I wanted to thank Mark especially for the magic touch on my quad and I wanted to thanks everyone that has helped me this year with parts, mechanic help, encouragement. You guys are a great group of guys and I look forward to doing some riding during the off season with you guys.

I saw you broke down.
I thought what a bummer.
I finished second.
I was in first for the whole race except the last when when I got stuck behind a guy that was inbetween 2 trees and I look behind me and there was Renny.
We battle it out and I let him by cause he was wearing me down.
So now I was behind him doing the same and he passed a girl and now I was behind the girl and lo and behold she gets stuck 3 seperate times in the no passing zone.
My idea was to wear Renny out and then pass him on the MX track.
That was a bad call on my part and I should have stayed in first and let him try to get around me cause there were not to many places to pass.
I will think harder the next time out there.
But Doug glad to see you showed up.
They didnt get the results posted till 8 pm.
Then there was a protest.
We stayed the night and it cooled down enough for a camp fire and we made a few smores and chilled for the evening.
Mark place 17th out of 47.
Thats still a good place with being on a new quad.
Good Job Mark and I hope you made it home ok.
I tried to call ya but no service.
Good job Phil and Jen ....
Paul..
8 pm HOLLY SMOKE
What where the protest??
Hey 17th is pretty good if you ask me since im sure the first 7 or 8 are sandbaggers.
I just finished cleaning up the quad. I found what my problem is. When I slung a chain it must have slammed into the case and cracked it. I started it up and oil just come flowing out of there. So atleast its nothing major and there's still plenty of oil left in holding tank and the oil that was coming out still looked fresh. So hopefully that is the only problem.
Get that YFZ and TRX ready to go do some riding its pretty easy for me to take off sundays so we'll have to go do some riding.
I am going to try and ride twice a week and do a group ride atleast once a month. Between Mark, Paul, Mike, David, Phil, Jen, oh yeah and that guy JOE (I WISH I COULD RIDE FTR) Kirkland. So between you all hopefully I can find some riding partners and only get faster. But got to get my endurnace up first.
Doug
P.S. I seen mark was signed on earlier and we had a new guy Hash1250r that was signed on at 130 am (thats when I got home) so welcome him I see he's a powdercoater, and boy I need to make friends with you.

Joe(I WILL ride FTR)Kirkland
P.S. Doug I hope ya get your ride all put back together soon.
Yea, made it back no problem. I've been in and out all day doing the Mother Day thing.
What a course! 7 miles of tight woods. I think that was the toughest race I have ever run.
The start was a rush! 47 4 stk. C guys all going for the same 12-15 foot hole! I got caught up in a bottleneck right at the first double greens from the start line. The guy in front of me stalled and had a hard time getting the bike started back up. About half way, maybe more, into the 4th lap I couldn't take it any more and pulled off. First race I didn't finish.
I'm curious to see what my lap times are. I was having a good race until that 4th lap. (just like someone flipped a switch and I was done)
Doug, no problem! I don't know what I done but, it's good to hear you didn't have the same problem (may have just been some water in the carb). Go over that bike real good, I'm tired of seeing you sitting on the side of the trail. Wana do some racin with ya!
We do all need to meet up and do some riding in the off season. I know Dooski will be wanting to get some seat time on his new TFZ and I'm sure we can talk that Joe dude into coming. Just need to pick a date and location.
It was nice to finally see everyone again and I hope every one had a safe trip home.
Mark
Doug, PM me your address, I need to settle up with ya. Thanks!
