YEAH, I AM REALLY EXCITED TO RUN A FEW OF THE RACES. I HAD PLANNED TO RIDE A FEW HERE IN MO. THIS YEAR BUT A BROKEN LEG AND DISLOCATED SHOULDER SLOWED ME DOWN (MX TRACK ACCIDENT).
I WOULD LIKE TO START OUT ON SOME OF THE SMALLER SERIES, INSTEAD OF JUMPING INTO THE GNCC. IT IS A LITTLE INTIMIDATING....SINCE I HAVE NEVER RACED BEFORE.
I WILL DEFINITELY BE ON THE SITE WHEN I GET DOWN THERE AND MAYBE WE CAN GET HOOKED UP AND DO SOME RIDING. jump2:
COME ON, get down here. There are 14 races to a FTR series plus 2 GNCC races farely close as well. So even if you want to start small hell you still do just fine. Coming from hills and stuff like that, its pretty flat down here. You might find a little hill every once in a while but not much of anything.
Keep an eye on this site we all pretty much stick together or know each others wearabouts
Most of us are into Harescrambles but there are several larger ATV MX events down here. You have ATV Olympics every January and this year brought the ATV Nationals. FTR has a highly competitve ATV MX series too.

sorry to be dumb, but what does FTR stand for? hopefully "seccrs" I'll be able to hook up with some of you guys and follow you to some races. Just not sure how much time this new job is going to require.
what size and type of rear tires do you guys run down there? In MO for XC we run 22x11x9 in a 6ply b/c of all the rocks!! Just curious b/c I've heard there isn't a rock in the statejump2:
Yama..to answer your question. My wife and I will be down there sometime during the week of July 12th. We will be working in WPB...looking to get a house west of there.
thanks again
20-11-9 6ply here

Oh wow WPB. Thats a nice area.
Its not to far of a drive to some riding spots.
FTR stands for "Florida Trail Riders"
Ah the good ole palmetto bushes...
Look us up when you get here.
Paul...
HAHA he asked what Palmetto roots are.
Well just picture a torture test on your suspension that rocks and rolls and shoves and kicks and throws you. And yes belive it or not the fast your go the better you are, but you better have a stearing dampner and it will still knock you teeth out.
Trust us by the first couple of Harescrambles you will know exactly what Palmettos are. And they dont have any then for sure there will be some at the Rodman Plantation cause basically the whole course was just a matter of dodging the palmettos. Where you have rocks we have Palmettos and the shove and rock you about the same.
Dooski said there wasnt many rocks. Well maybe cause he's to fast and dont really see them. But couple of the courses we road this year where rather rocky. And if you tell me that Gatorback wasnt rocky then YOU WHERE BLIND. The last race had some rocks that showed up toward the end of the race but nothing like you have up there.
