I know this is a shot in the dark, is anyone going to the NC GNCC race. I'm taking my boys up just wondering if i'll see anyone from down here. It's always nice to know someone when your so far away.
There is a good change that me and Dereck will head that way, not 100% sure just yet, I'll let you know !!! thumpsup:

That's weird !!!
I raced the GNCC on Giorgia, but other then that and some rides on "Durhamtown Plantation" I've never been riding north of this ... It would be nice, lil expensive with the gas prices...
If we don't do this trip will set a trip to some place up north so we can ride all weekend and not only 2 hours !

Well, it was a learning experience to say the least. Both my boys were humbled a little. No excuses, but they never rode anything like that before and no practice lap. We did walk the track on friday but its not the same as riding it. Jarreth ran in the schoolboy class on a blaster that he only rode once before finished 20th. The fact he finished was good enough for me. Jon rode in the College B class on his 400 on a line of 450s he got 17th. I am proud of both of them, it was a beating for them. We had a blast as we always try to do, despite dissapointment. We cant wait for the FTR season to start.

Thats awesome. I heard it was dusty. I saw some really cool pictures of them on quadzone. Some good ones of Jen, too.

Dusty is not the word for this condition! Everything turned orange. You could not see your hand in front of your face. I'll post a couple of pics later to show the dust.

Finishing a GNCC is a great accomplishment - you guys should be happy!!!
Racing the GNCC series is a toatlly different experience - then you throw in the terrain...it takes alot to get used to...many do not realize the differences and how drastic they are until they race a few themselves. Like I said - finishing is the half the battle in one of the races - be proud ;)

Thanks Jen, we are proud, it was just a tough pill for Jon to swallow. He has'nt seen the back of the pack for quite a while until now.
Good for you guys !!! yes it is always a nice experience to race on the GNCC events.
Most of the races I have done have been here in FL, but the one I did on Giorgia was really nice, muddy but it was a nice experience.
See you guys/gls at the banquet !!!

I ran my first out of state race last season in Georgia. It was totally different than I am used to and it was scary for sure. No practice lap and the terrain was not flat. Going downhill on a a slick, narrow, clay trail from third gear pinned into a 90 degree turn with no way to turn except by nailing the throttle will make anyone who is not used to it, pucker.
Jen told me it got worse from there in the GNCC series. I had a whole new respect for her after that.
How a quad stands up to those different terrains through a season is beyond me? Lot's of parts.
