Memorial Day Weekend Ride?

Anyone care to go and get some tree bark in their wheels over the holiday weekend? Doesn’t matter to me were, I just want to do some woods riding. Maybe meet up with Brian at his home away from home (you know at "that other place"), ONF, or wherever. Doesn’t matter as long as it’s in the woods.

Joe that Sunday is probably the best time for me. How does Ocala (some where north of Big Scrub) sound? If you have any suggestions let me know.

I wanna go, and I think I can arrange sunday off. But I think the forrest will be packed. And much rather go back to that one place. If I have any input. But need to know are way around. And if you ask me I have no clue. Paul come on buddy we need an escourt to lead us around.

Doesn't mater to me where just as long as it's in the woods. No need to worry about the crowds at Ocala, I stay away from the bigger camp grounds (sometimes I'm lucky to see two other riders in a day).

Like Brian said just have to stay off the beatin path.

My buddy has a cabin in north part of ONF and will be down there that weekend. So if you know around Rodman area we can ride out of his place I know most of the area but its pretty whooped out.

Hog Valley is the city he lives in.

Planning on parking off of 88 just south of 314. Just going to pull off into the woods. I don't know which side of 88 yet (east or west). There's a nice spot on the west side but it may be taken when we get there. I'm going to try and get up there around 8:30 and find a spot all of us can get into and put a sign out. Just head up 88 and look for a "Sign". Turn at the sign. It won't be hard to find but if you don't have my cell # just send me a PM. You can give me a call if you have any problems.

I've ridden this spot a few times. There's not a whole lot of woops, and on some days I would be lucky if I seen three other riders. Shouldn't be real crowded.

If anyone has a GPS, bring it! I'll have mine but it's always nice to have a couple of them in the bunch.

Come on Dooski...get out there and work with her....Lord knows Phil has had many long days with me....Actually, you all would laugh if you knew that I teared up the first time I rode (approx 3-4) years ago. Phil bought the yellow 400ex(he had never rode either) and I couldn't get it out of neutral without popping the clutch...Yeah, I think I cried!!! Everytime I shifted(once I learned how) I popped the clutch and about gave myself whiplash...LoL!!!! ash: I was a mess!!!!! :D

I had a blast yesterday!!! I must say the dust was terrible...if you were further than back than 3rd...you couldn't see a thing and it was best to just hang back rather than slam into somethingeyebrows:

Dooski...sounds good....Phil and I will be traveling some over the next few weeks...so it would be hard to set a date right now. We will keep ya posted!! :p

One good thing about the dust, it kept everyone from seeing my bonzie run thru the bushes when I missed a the turn. (Glad there wasn't anything solid in there.) :eek:

Put in a few miles and had a good time. We all need to do it again once the rainy season starts.
