I know a lot of you went out of your way to be sound compliant with FTR sound rules.
However, more than a few have not made any effort and it will bite you hard this coming season if you are not within the 96 db rule.
What they are going to do is if you sound loud, you will be tested. If you are over, unless you can fix it in a few minutes, you are not allowed to race or will be dq'd, wichever comes first. If you finish the race and are tested and are over you will be dq'd.

This is from the FTR site:
Sound notes for quads in HS
As we are welcoming our FTR quad members "back" to HS, I wanted to point out that sound requirements and the spark arrestor rule are in full force.
We had noticed that as the season went on , some of the quads got louder. What may slip through when dealing with a few quads won't work when we are back to a full quad turnout at the HS.
I just wanted to give everyone plenty of time to get the sound legal and spark arrested by the start of the season.
