I moved to Florida about 4 years ago and haven't raced quads in over 7 years. I am looking for some good tracks here and some people to ride with. I raced quad B class, and semi-pro snocross in Michigan for a couple years and a broken back took me out of the sport for a little while. I am looking to get back into the sport.

there is dade city http://dadecitymx.com/
there is bartow mx http://www.bartowmotocross.com/
there might be more around your area but these are the ones i can think of

To me one of the best, more challenging mx tracks will be Hard Rock in north Ocala, now besides the ones Pete mentioned, there is the one in St Pete Sunshine MX Park, Waldo MX Park, Big Cypress, this is a nice one with two different tracks, Pax Track north of Daytona Beach, Gator Back and Bithlo are nice tracks but those are not open for practice, just a couple of races during the year, there are some others but I haven't been in those.

You should come out to Sunshine next weekend. There is a SSQSA race that weekend. You will be able to meet a bunch of people in the racing community. Practice is the 25th and the race is the 26th.

I won't be able to that weekend Cub Scout campout. I also need to know what all do you need to race here in Florida besides AMA membership.

dont need an ama membership at any of the tracks that i go to, the only mandatory item other than the standard safety gear is a kill switch

If you are just going to practice most tracks either have a year membership for $20-$25 or they have a one day practice fee on top of the practice fee.

For racing Each series that you go to has a different membership fee. SSQSA is $25 for the year or $10 for day membership. We do not require AMA/ATVA membership.

FTR has a yearly membership fee also. I think it is $50. Some of their HS events you have to also have AMA/ATVA membership also.

Hope this helps.
