O.k. O.k.
I know that I've been blowing to Doug and Mark that "Oh yea man, I'm gonna do some scrambles" for awhile..... And I've been sorta wishy washy on committing to set my quad up one way or the other... BUT.... I am setting up the YFZ as we speak purposely for the H/S+ Woods.......
Need to hook up with all you fast woods riders and get some seat time in before the season starts...... I am busy however for the next 2 weekends as I'm going out of town this coming weekend and I have to work the following.... so I'll touch base with you all when I get these 2 weekends out of the way......
I can only commit to one series at a time since I really want to be my wifes husband and my kids father... ANd it looks like the FTR (yea!!!) H/S series is the one for me......
Hope to see you all soon.
Joe (2004 Sand Mt. Winter Series Vet. Class Champ)
Woo hoo,, big woop!!!!!!!!!!!!
you should see the HAT that I won.......

Always glad to have another rider out there .What class you going to run?A maybe?
Think we'll see Joe in the B 400+ on that new 450 he has.
I have 8 of the races picked out for the season. I need to find 2 more. Havent quite decided on which other 2. I am going to all the ones withen 3 hours. Which basically rules the 2 in Clewiston and the 3 in Okechobee as being the ones I am going to have to decide on. But you always have to go to the last race of the year. So that rules the 1 of the Ockechobee races I will be going to. Now its a matter of deciding of the 2 clewiston, 2 Okechobee, 1 Sweetwater(benifit)to decide on which of those I will attend.
Doug
Good Deal! Look forward to seeing ya on the start line!
I'll let you know the next time I hit the woods.

Probably gonna run "B" 400CC+ or VET. if that whole deal passes...... actually hope it does I just ordered some red backgrounds which is what I'll need in the Vet. class.......
Hey guys, I know that in the GNCC's they just started requiring the use of a tether kill switches...... Dont think they are required in the H/S series...... Let Me Know........
would love to make it to Croom and ride the "Rodgers Loop" or make it to "That Other Place" with someone who is familiar with it.
Like I said, in 2 weeks I'll be free'd up and I should have my ride all set up.... Most of my crap should be here this week....

Nope no teather for FTR. Since the have a running start. Where you have to run to your quad from about 5 ft away. They use no teather.
You up for riding any during the week?
Maybe on sunday?
Ive got to get my registration for CROOM so I can go and ride there.

Sounds great Paul,
just let me get thru the next 2 weekends and I'll be all ready.
Like I said I should have my quad all set up also, so I'll need to take it out and give it a whirl with all the woods goodies on it.
What all have you done to your YFZ Paul?????? Give me the run down..
A Florida Quad Riders group ride would be awesome.
Keep me posted

Joe,
I did the Yoshie pipe, AC Propegs, +1 steering stem, Bills custom made handlebars that give no arm pump, steel braided lines, Hyper rims with Maxxis Razzor 2's tires, skid plate, air filter kit,
IMS tank, steering stabilizer.
Might put my Elka shocks on and compare to the stock.
I just dialed in the stock ones and they feel pretty good.
Oh and I will be replacing the tie rods with Ricky Stators.
Anything that breaks I will replace in between races.
The only problem I see in the future from reading others is the swing arm and a-arms.

Sounds Good Paul,
hopefully today I should start getting my stuff..... Pro-Circuit T-4 slip-on, Uni-Filters, EHS Racing lid, rejet, Pro Design Case Saver, PEP ez pull clutch arm,PEP chain roller relocator,Magnum e-brake block off,SRP rear brake rezzie relocator,SRP billet one way breather cap,Motion Pro Vortex twist throttle,Pro Control stabilizer,AC Racing front bumper, nerfs,XC grab bar,UpDog #plate backgrounds(RED,for the Vet. class hopefully),Maxxis Razor 2's.... mmmmmm I guess thats about it right now.. I havent decided on which bars I'm gonna get yet..... Hope to get some TAG metal bars in red... with some blk TAG grips....... Considering the IMS tank and will probably get some skids also....
Also thinking about the CAM MOD.... I've ridden some YFZ's that have it done and I didnt think that It robbed that much low end... actually to me it was barely noticeable...... so I may do it
Cant wait to get together with ya so we can eat up some woods on these babies.....

Hey Joe before you get any new bars you need to look at mine and tell me what you think.
Mark has seen them.
Bill up in Ocala makes them and I dont get arm pump or blisters on my hand.
You should take a drive up here and check them out.
Im in Valrico off of HWY 60.

Hey Paul,
tell me about them..... like Height,Rise,Width etc..... what they are made of.......
I have a set of 7/8 Pro Tapers they are nice but they are their ATV bend... the height is fine albeit a little tall at 6" in height but the sweep is a little much at almost 4" of sweep (3.9" to be exact) I will try them out because they really feel good height wise.... Gonna see if I can get used to the sweep...
I had Pro Taper 1 1/8" bars on the other YFZ I had, they were like 3.74 height and 2.56 sweep... so the overall height with the big bar adapter was about 4.5" it was cool but I do want a little more height... just dont think I want quite as much sweep.
Let me know about these wonder bars.......
THanks

Joe you really kinda have to see them. Its hard to describe.
They are not your typical round bar.
I would have the quad on the line at a race and guys would come up and say what the heck?
Then I ask them if they get blisters and arm pump they would say yes.
With these bars you dont. The only caleses are from work.
Im not all that sure about the tech, sweep and all that.
All I know is I used to get severe arm pump the first 30 minutes of a race and by the end could barely hang on cause of the blisterd hands.
Then one day I stop on Bills to pick up my 250R to head to the N.C. GNNC race and there was my quad with the his bars on it.
I didnt have time to switch them cause we late.
He said just try them.
It turned out to be the funnest race I ever had.
Here is my phone number 813-789-6698.
call me and I will give ya Bills #. I dont have it, its on the cell and its in the truck.
Hurry up and lets go smack some trees..
Paul..
