So lets hear eveyone's stories.:D
That was one brutal course if you didnt have good shocks.
The whole course was palmettos, except for 2 staight aways.

Well for me I got 4th in the start by the second gate with green arrows the guys in my class were playing real dirty. Smashing and banging and I said forget this I have a life to live.

So got through the gate, past 2 guys that smashed into me and roosted them big time.
Come to the first left hairpin turn and with all the dust I blew right past it and was now back in last.
The best could do for rest of the race was catch 5 guys and pass them.

Hey it was still fun...Got love that little water crossing..:D

well i hated the course but was having a good day running with charles H in4th then 5th then back to 4th then a c rider got stuck in front of me in 2 big sandy ruts so i got stuck and it took awhile to get out and every one went by.long travel suspension sucks when you have pick the quad up.with one lap left there was no way to catch up so i called it a day.then they only scored me for 2 laps but i think the lap i didn't get scored i was going to fast ,so my bad.
Trew won with taylor 5 seconds behind then rodgers and charles.

It was a good race. I got a decent start, third going into the woods. Even got to lead a few laps. I had Spunky “nick” chasing me pretty much the whole race. Halfway thru the last lap I missed a little shortcut and he took it. After that he was gone. I ended up second. It was good racing and had a good time trying to keep the kid behind me.

The course was nice. A couple of bridges, a water crossing to cool you off, and I think I did see a palmetto or two.

Still feeling the pain,
Mark

Doug, sorry for the late report but I was beat when I got in last night. I’ll try not to let it happen again. :D

Well heres my story sucky start i was geting pushed around like a rag doll for the first 2 laps when i was passing people i would get behind mark and then someone would just slam me so i had bad luck for the first 2 laps then by the 5th mile on the 3rd lap i got by mark and start racking some time against him but it wasnt much cool race though i got the win

So Greg Trew was there huh? I just e-mailed him this week to see if he might be coming to any.

I expect Yokely and a couple of the other PRO riders to be showing up at the January race.

Good to hear everyone finished safe.

Still havent heard from Jen or Blado(Joe). Nothing I cant stand more is some Palmetto's so got lucky there.

You guys have a Merry X-mas and thanks for the reports. I have been reading them off and on all day so thanks for helping me with my racing fix.

This is Jen..."Checking In" LoL!!!!!!

Well, for once I had a great start...went into the woods third...the track was ROUGH! I feel for everyone that had stock suspension..caue I don't and I still got beat to death. More than once I felt like a rag doll  So...I smashed a tree (the only one on the entire track) and also got a front flat tire (not sure how)...plus I had my new WER dampner turned almost as stiff as it would go-MISTAKE! I had a heck of a time getting my bike to turn which wore me out even more....all in all...I ended up fourth. :) I am happy with that...there is always next race to try and improve!

It was great seeing you guys this weeend...glad to hear everyone made it home okay...

I would hate to be a downer to the sadra team but that track was boring they could have mixed it up more and made a little more passing sections!!!

I agree the course was a little boring .but in the big picture we had a place to race and the club can't control the lay of the land.I'm juust glad to have a place to race. The parking area was great and scoring went pretty well.Ihope that guy on the green utility who was running into everyone doen't come back.I heard there was almost a fight afterwards.

no no fight but he didnt take well to being pasted and im going to B next race anyways dont take it hard seniors but it sucks geting stuck behind that many people and then ill the slow guys in your class you know you can get by but you no there is no place to go
so im gonna make my forward motion in not starting behind a class you know you cna catch!!! i know that racing but when you get stuck behind that many people thats not racing thats follow the leader i know mark knows what im talking about and im sure he will be glad when im gone lol

Later guys

Hey Doug,
Sorry bout the lapse in time between the race and now....
My puter has the flu and Its been being worked on by our network engineer at work ( free free free)..... SO Here we go...
Got my usual top 3 start ( Nick, ya need to take notes little brother ) just teasing, been very fortunate with starts this year... Shawn Platt was out front, then me, then Mark Bradley, and Willis Pledger....... we were all nose to tail for about 5 miles and then some "B" guy (hey arent you a "B" guy Doug????) stalled out in a very palmetto-y spot on the track and in such a way that all of us OLD VET's had to wait for him to move.... so I checked behind us and there wasnt any of the other vets, so I was like O.k. we might be putting some space on the others. so we got freed up and Bradley got around me (Banzai'd) then another "B" guy ( I see a pattern here) foiled us again and Mark went into the lead and Willis took the good line and got around me... so a few miles later we were all pretty much nose to tail when I watched Willis and Shawn get all tied up coming into a right hander and I just shot around the mess..... all this on lap 1..... Set out to find Marc for the next 3 laps and all to no avail..... rode the other 3 laps in 2nd....... got the 2nd place wood for the day.... good time was had. and Man, what a rough freakin track.. but it was fun. WIsh you could've been there Doug.....
Congrats to all who attended and finished...... Hope to see you all soon and Have a great X-Mas....
Lets all hook up and go kill Croom or that "One Place" over the break........
Take Care
Joe
P.S. Doug, I did see Velvet Revolver on WED. of last week in orlando.... man they were great.......... Just really glad there were no good shows after the Palmetto 500... would've never ever been able to make it...... Too sore.........Ciao

Sounds like it was a tuff race. I see Greg showed up, you can bet on not getting 1st with him there. Looks like Taylor gave him a good run. My uncle Charles said it was really rough, the palmettos were real bad. I guess I picked a good one to skip. I spent my weekend in GA at Durhamtown Plantation. It was some of the best riding ever. Not use to riding in wet clay but you get the hang of it after awhile, tryed some sick hill climbs and it was almost the end of me, never try to climb wet slick hills in clay there is no such thing as hooking up in wet clay. They had two MX tracks with some pretty large jumps they were great for ATV's I think thats why I snap my footpeg right off the quad running about 4th gear was kinda scary almost ran my leg over but managed. Is anybody going to ATV Olympics? The cross country race is on Wednesday. It will be good practice before the next race.
