View Full Version : Chipley #8 HOW WAS IT??
Come on folks I'm dieing over here. Fill me in on the races.
I hope everyone made it home safe.
I didn't make it. I thought gaterback was this weekend and didn't realize it until friday.
On top of that, since I wasn't planning on running Chipley, I figured I would take one of my girls down to Sand Mountain today and race. I called Joe up yesterday to see if he was going to be there and he informed me that there is no race at Sand Mountain this weekend, it's next weekend!
Half packed up and ready to go, both times! I'm loosin it! spin:
Hope everyone had a safe race.
So where you going next weekend??
And is that long haired hippy coming too?(JOE)
LOL I think I've got next weekend figured out, but the weekend after that, who knows.
I don't think Joes going to make it, but I don't know if I would take my word for it.:D

I think this is how everything finished, could be wrong. Track conditions were a nice cool breeze, extremely rough and dusty. I got arm pump the first lap and had to pull over for a couple of seconds. Raced hour and fifteen minutes, same as always. Was a very fun track just the dust made it tough, plus I'm coming off the flu so I wasn't feeling the best. But overall it was fun.jump2:

Track was ROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think I have EVER been this sore...:o Plus, my insides feel like they are turning inside out...lots of pain in my stomach :o I have had this once before after a race... in my first season. It just didn't last more than a couple hours...I have had it for 24..oh well...I am tough and will get over it :D
I am happy with the way I rode yesterday...I was in second for the first 3 laps and had just begun to put a gap between myself and the 3rd place rider - I was riding great...when my bike decided it wanted to shut off!!!!!!!!!!! So, after losing my place I figured out that my ignition wires had been pulled out enuff: I think my knee is pulling on them...so we will have the issue fixed for good by next weekend!!! I finished the race having to pull over every 5-10 minuted to hook the wires back together...and got 3rd.
Congrats to everyone that finished - it was BRUTAL!!!!

PS... Will P. I know you will read this - great race and thanks for the extra "push"...see ya at Gatorback!

Don't feel bad. I was last into the first turn, too. The I fought hard for 1 hr 23 minutes only to retain the same position.
That course was the roughest yet. I liked it because there was only one section that was really tight.
Man I need new shocks!
