Since most of you in here already compete in FTR events I won't bother going into detail about the new proposed Quad Scrambles Series.
What I see is Florida Quad riders now have two choices for Hare Scrambles styled events.
1. You can continue to compete in the current Hare Scrambles Series wanting more time (2 hour events), more classes (Peewee, youth, beginner, utility, etc.), courses better suited to your machines, with no possible way to get there given the current available time and manpower, all the while feeling like orphaned children, or;
2. You can help build the new proposed Quad Scrambles Series into something that can give you all these things.
It will take commitment from Quad riders!
Personaly I don't see the long term future getting any better for you in the current series, in fact, I see it getting worse.
There are many that would do away with Quads altogether. I don't see that as a positive thing for FTR. The sales, growth in popularity, and access to riding areas make the proposed series a 'shoe in' for success.
What it will take to survive is participation in the early stages. Clubs are willing to hold events, five have already gotten in line to do so, even before an official series has begun, why? Because they know the potential for the growth and want to be in on the ground floor. If they get reasonable participation they will continue and new clubs will join in.
It's time to start getting the word out, there's a new game in town!
You have right now the ability to create what could become one of the 'premier' Quad only woods racing series in the world!
Just do it!!
