The threaded hole has nothing in it. I stuck a small drill bit up in it and it felt like it's just hitting the dust boot. I'll give you a call later.

Thanks for the help and detailed pic. That is exactly the hole I was talking about. Doesn't it seem wierd to have a hole with threads there for no aparent reason?
Anyway, I finally got them bled out. My calipers are old and worn but were in good working order when I took them off. I put new pads in and had to push the pistons in with a C-clamp. Seems they just needed some tlc to get them moving again.
Working on them for two days is because I did not know the little trick of priming a new master cylinder before it will work properly.

No telling why they put hole there. I never noticed it until you said something about it. Maybe it's a mounting hole for some kind of M.C. guard? Who knows? Nice to know it's there though.
No problem on the pic and whatever help I might have been. Glad to hear you got the things working.
BTW, Sorry for yelling on the phone like an idiot, there was a noisy tractor right in front of me and my oldest daughters name is Cori. You didn't sound anything like her and it had me a little confused. :D
Later man,
Mark
