Hey guys here is the low down on the race.
After practice I said oh man there is gonna be a lot wrecks and stuck in the muds.
The first part was 2.8 miles of poop pasture and was a little dusty.
I suck in that.
Holeshot I sucked. I got 2nd from last then after the poop pasture I was in last going into the woods.
Finallly I said my area. I caught up to the rest and passed all of them in the mud.
I love the mud! But I was only doing 26 minutes the frst 2 laps which killed me on time.
Brenda then told me I was averaging 19 min the last 4 laps.
Anyways in the palmetto areas there were a quite few mud swamp areas, deep water, even the lines around the mud areas started to fill with water.
There were quads stuck and broke down all over the place.
I really dont know how the mini dirtbikes got through there???

There was bad accident in the a,m. A kid was heading in the wrong direction when he hit head on with another.
Med flight showed up and closed down the hwy and took the kid away.
The parking was the tightest Ive ever seen.
We were literally boxed in all day.

Jen how did you do?
How did you like the mud?
Saw your set up came by but didnt see ya. Brenda and I wanted to sat hi.
Oh well Maybe the next one.

 Well...this weekends race wasn't my favorite and my day started out bad...in practice myself along with a few of the senior riders got lost. The track was poorly marked-but I give them a big thumbs up on changing that before the race :)

I didn't get the holeshot-but I never do. I did end up first by the second corner and put a gap between me and the others before the woods, to only be stopped in a line becuse everyone was getting stuck. The mud was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If for any reason you had to stop you weren't going anywhere for a while. I did get stuck bad 3 times and wrecked once...where of course I landed right on my bad shoulder. I sucked it up and with the help of another rider flipped my bike back over and took off. The next lap I ran over my nerf bars...which I didn't even realize were gone. On my 3rd lap I saw one of the girls in my class stuck in the mud. She said the bike just rolled on her leg and she was truggling trying to get it off a palmetto...I felt bad so I stopped to help her out...I ended up doing 4 laps.

Overall the track didn't get very rough....I was suprised! I was so wore out from trying to get my bike unstuck! But in the end I finished like 13 minutes ahead of my class...

Phil had a good race...until the mud got the best of him. He passed evryone and was in first...then the mud took over! enuff: He ended up 7th....I thought that was good considering the track and all the bad luck he has had this season. He said he is VERY happy with his new motor and is looking forward to the next race!!!!!!!!! :)

Well...Dooski-how'd ya finish??? Next race I need to set the "jitters" aside on the line and come look for ya. I am always a ball of nerves and I get focused...so I don't think of going and looking for anyone :)

Well I typed all that and forgot to say how I did.
Silly me.
By the 3rd lap or so I was in first place, but I didnt know it till I finished.
I was the only one in my class that did 6 laps.
What sucks with my racing is that I get really bad arm pump and pooped out the first 2 laps.
By the 3rd lap Im doing good. I pick way more speed, and the endurance kicks in real good.
Its like Im in a zone and I start singing and talkin to myself.

Jen sounds good and glad the both of you guys made it through ok.

It sure is hard to stop right in the middle of a race and help someone out. Racing is racing, but it's nice to know if you’re in trouble there will be someone there to help. Good Job and congrats to you and Phil on the good finishes!

Dooski, Congrats, Sounds like you liked the pasture sections.
:D

Hope the little one that got air lifted out is doing well.

Hey racergirl47,

I think one of the guys picked up your nerf bars...in case ya want them back!!

There was a lot of "parts" left on the track. I wonder if there were any bikes not recovered. I know of one that was seen in a particularly big mudhole with only the handlebars showing!
