Well we are 4 days away from the next H/S and yet no one has mentioned it. Usually the Gatorback course poses some of the of the top tallent coming in a lil early for the GNCC. As well as some of the most challenging terrain. Since I haven't made it to the last couple of H/S im really looking forward to this one.

Ok heres a problem im having. I cant seem to keep my chain on the quad. But only seems to do it when im riding fast in a deep whoop area. But first time it popped off the sprocket. The second time the Master link came out. Now this is a brand new chain and sprockets I replaced before that last h/s I was at. It doesnt seem to be to tight nor to lose. So I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. Cause its going to really be a waste if I show up at the h/s just to have it pop off 2 miles into the race.

Can you give me an idea about slack? I know on a bike it was about 2 inches up and down but its it diffrent on a quad?

BTW T - 13 days till GNCC WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO:D   jump2: jump2: jump2:

Yes if the race was today it would be muddy. The rain is suppose to move out today. And accourding to the weather it should be clear the rest of the week in the mid 60's. So if it does stop today it shoud be pretty decent by this weekend with lil dust and the occasional mud hole.

Jen,

The wife is coming with me but she has to work friday. And wont get off till 9 pm. So where just going to drive over in Saturday morning. Its only about Hour and half from us. I am going riding today hopefully to see if that damn quad will stay together. The course we rider here is has some really deep whoops and tends to beat the living hell out of you. So if it can last threw that then it should have no problem on any course.

See you guys Saturday..... hopefully ill be able to find you guys.

As of right now its suppose to be a nice day high in the 70's, 20% chance of rain in the late saturday afternoon.

Hi Doug :p

Like I said, we plan on leaving here around 1:00...so we will be there plenty early to get some spots!!! We could always rope off a spot for ya and call you Friday night to tell to where we are parked-we have your phone #'s....would you like us to do that or do you plan on pitting with M & D??? Let me know either way!!! jump2:

I think it is cool that your wife is gonna make it!!!

I'm not picky where I park just long as im with some good ppl. You, phil, Mark, Mike, David, yeah and I guess Paul (HAHA) are some good people.

One thing about gatorback theres not many places to hide so I should have no problem finding you.

But you have my # so if you get inclined give me a call. Im just bringing the pop up's and chairs. And enjoying a day of racing :D

Use this weekend just to get ready for the next. Finding lines, ways to pass. Your already got your game on, so you know how to ride that thing. Tracci Cecco knows we got something down here waiting for her. So go out there and show that factory rider how you Florida girls do it. I will be there rooting you on. What class is phil racing?

Any plans on doing more than FL Gncc?

I might have a new job so this might just be the only one I make. Well except for Wisp cause come hell or high water im going to that race.

I asked Phil last night if he was going to race and he said he was still undecided...I hope he races!

Okay - I am sure Traci nor Stephanie know who I am or care anything about me or my riding...

I am pretty sure that I will be riding that "orange" rocket of his. Everything seems to be working great on it eyebrows: That bike is so fast...it is a blast to ride...but I do need to get a little seat time on it this coming week so I am comfortable on it. That was a big dilemma for me...ride something that I can be comfortable on or ride something I am not as comfortable on and have the extra motor for the straights. Plus...his bike is a SUCH a"plush" ride :D

Well, we really haven't come to a decision as to whether or not I will be racing anymore GNCC races. We MAY try to hit the GA one...we'll see.

Well I went out and rode hard for lil over an hour. And the thing stayed together no problem. I but the clip on the right way this time. And tightened it up a little bit.

I beat the hell out of myself and the quad. Word of advice if you have never hit a tree, 1. YOUR NOT GOING FAST ENOUGH IF NEVER HAVE. 2. THEY DONT MOVE.

I know your saying well he only rode and hour thats not going to help. Well this course we ride is made up of all whoops. I would say that 90% of it is whoops that are 3 feet or deeper. So trust me my upper body really got a work out. You know what they always say if your tired and you already think you should go back out, listen to yourself. Cause thats when you go out mess up and hit a tree.

See you guys Saturday.

I take it you hit a tree....I know-they DON'T budge :( And it is worse if your body hits a seperate tree while you are airborn...talk about SUDDEN stops. And the feeling you have when you gain your senses....laying there hoping you can still feel all your body parts...Nope-NOT GOOD!!! :(

See everyione this weekend!!!

Dooski-you gonna make it???

Hey Jen and Doug,
Ya I will be there. Been working hard this week so I can take Fri off.
Looks like I will be there Fri around 6 pm or so.
Im gonna park by Mike Rodgers and David.
Im coming alone this time and I dont know anyone else there except for them.

Jen I dont know why you get nervous b4 a race you have them all in the bag anyways. :D

We all need to get together and plan out GNCC so we can all park next to each other.
We always park on the track makes for easy pitting.

Oh well see ya Fri night.

Dooski-

My husband asks me the same question....and I don't have the answer :o I guess I have anxiety issues, but it helps cause when that horn blows I see a "tunnel" and I race there until the race is over eyebrows: We all have our own way of racing and staying focused...I think my anxiety helps me in the long run ;)

Mark....What is Up??? You gonna be able to make it???

See everyone later on...Please travel safe!!!

No man, I'm not going to be able to make it.

You guys and girls be safe and let me know what I missed.

Mark,

You didnt miss a damn thing. The course was just over 4 miles. with about 2.5 of woods and rest the MX track. Allot of whoops and alot of broken quads.

Of course Jen won her class. But I think she was about the only one of the group that actually finished. Phil said he had to stop and re built the carb and finished with 4 laps. Paul said some thing broke with the crank on the first lap. I made it to lap 4 and got bumped in a corner and the quad just died. Still has power and turns over just wont fire. Rodger won the thing with 8 laps. He was averaging 9 minute laps. Alot of DQ where handed out I hear too. By what I understand Taylor came off the course and went to his trialer to fix his quad and sped to fast and they DQed him. I know of the 8 A-4stk only 3 finished.

I think the sinopsis from all of us was, we would have been better just staying at home. Atleast that is my opinion for next year. Its great if your a MX expert cause you could just suffer threw what little bit of woods they had and dominated on the MX course.

Ya I heard a lot of rattling coming from a lot of quads.
Most of these are set up for woods racing not quarry and MX racing.
I think it was a good thing I pulled off.
Im gonna work that race next year.

Mark,
You really didnt miss anything. I would say that is crappiest race of the whole season and not cause I only did 2 laps.
They were money hungry. They even charged $5.00 for pit bikes not racing.

Albright335
02-23-2004, 08:43 AM
I don't think it was the "worst" race of the year... But I will say the course did get pretty rough And the "ditch thing" was brutal.

Overall I am just happy that I finished and might I add....safely :o

I hate motocross and my stomach was in my throat everytime I reached that track...Phil said he didn't mind it that much...actually had some fun...until his bike died in mid air over a double. That is when he proceed to go back to the trailer and check it out. It turned out he had gotten something in the main jet, blew it out(after some work-it was stuck and completely filled the jet). Then without his gloves and camelback jumped back out onto the track jump2: He thought he would only get one lap in but he ended up doing two. He said the bike ran GREAT!!

I am sorry about the bad luck everyone had ash:

Jen
