Hey Guys+Gals,
got a quick question for yas..... Gonna go ahead and set up the YFZ for the woods.... I think next season I'll try to hit all the Scrambles...... Gonna try to hit the last few this season...... only 2 rd.s left at Sand Mt. so I'm looking to my next series.....
How wide can I go, realisticly....... I see lots of GNCC guys that run 1"over A-arms with their axles set to 2"over..(1" per side) for total of 2" overall....front and back...... Will this work for the HS series???????? I'm pretty comfy with the stock width in the woods..... just thought that if I can pull it off I would.....
What are you fast guys and gals running??????? Looks like the WORCS/6+12 Hour event guys are running dang near MX width...... let me know.......
Take Care

Joey,
Im in "B" class for HS.
Buddy of mine is in 'A" class. He has 1/4" out out from stock on his YZF.
Im stock length in the front and +1" in the rear.
This is for FTR.
Now for GNCC last year I ran +1 in the front and +2 in the rear.
and did real fine.
But Im also good at lining the quad up between 2 trees doing 55 mph too.
Better get moving the next GNCC is this weekend.
Then Ga.
Then we have FTR the next weekend after GA.
Then its SC for GNCC and so on and so on.

I hope I was some help.

Paul....

Width Question for the Woods Pros...

Well I'm far from a pro but here's my opinion.

For me I don't think it would be much of an advantage to go any wider than stock. I like knowing that I can make it thru those next two trees. I would run a few races, get the bike dialed in and go from there. You'll know more about what you need after a few races. Do some adjusting on your rebound and compression and give it a shot.

There are several that go +1 in front and rear. You have to think GNCC wise its wide enough for a utility quad to fit so its pretty wide. Now FTR is a diffrent story. I have had a couple that I can barely fit threw and im stock length.

Thanks ALL,
guess thats what I'll do, just run a race with stock width.... gonna try to make the next round.... pretty close to where I live...
I was thinking about going with +1" arms up front and an Adj. axle out back so that if I wanted to do some MX it might pull double duty......... I'll just have to see......
Thanks Again
Joe

If I was to do A arms and axle, that's what I would do. You should have no problem. Plus, I like the idea of all of the extra alignment adjustments you get with aftermarket A arms.
