Sand MT this weekend. Wow that gonna stink for them when GNCC is town this weekend.
And the only time GNCC come by is once a year.

yea, tell me about it.. NQRA round 1 is this weekend in Daytona also....... wish I could find some info. on the MX/TT NQRA race... I might be inclined to go there instead....

You've probebly been there but, here's a link to there site http://www.nqra.org/websiten/index.php . It's kinda confusing and not a lot of info though. Guess you just have to show up and go from there.

Hey All,
actually had a good turn out at Sand Mt. on Sunday... we had two rows in the Vet. Class..... Rode Vet. and Open Expert ... havent ridden two classes since the old days (3-wheelers) anyhoo... took 3rd overall in Open Expert (3-3) first moto I held 2nd for 4 of the 6 laps.... made a mistake in a corner and got passed (by Chris Williams #88 who is so so unbelieveably fast.. I'm sure that I was just holding him up) I was pretty happy with my placing in the Expert class...... got a trophy and $20........ paid for the entry......... gotta love a free race....
Rode Vet. also hoping to extend my points lead.... got a holshot 1st moto... only to fall to 3rd place in the same corner that I threw away 2nd in the Expert class... this is whats cool, I got passed by a TRX 450R (piped, jetted, tires etc..... and a good rider on it) and a pretty fast 400EX (well built).....got around the 400EX pretty quickly and set out after the 450R, I seemed to be pulling up on him pretty easily coming out of the corners, got right on his heels coming into the last turn and he went low so I went a little high and just out motored him down the front straight (5th gear pinned) and out braked him into the first turn..... he kept me honest for the remainder of the race.. I may have won by about 6-8 bike links....... I was really interested to see how those 450R's ran....... I think it runs well, and it looks great..... I just dont think they run as good as the YFZ.
2nd moto. was a holeshot and 5 quick laps to the finish.. went (1-1) in vet. for the win....
It was a great day to be at the track.... everyone went home in one piece...... Dennis Heath took a pretty good shot to the head in the vet. class on the last lap...... tweaked his bike pretty good...... but he walked to his truck. Hope he's feeling better........
One Round to go........ Come on out on the 21st. and give the track a try....... Hope to see yall there..
