Summer is Here!!

Summer Break is here – and I for one am looking forward to staying here in FL for more than two weeks in a row!

Since PA is a looong drive we again decided to leave a day early and make a small vacation of the trip. As always – we hit up Lambert’s Winery in Weston WV – that place never gets old for me and from what they say – they are doing well and distributing in WV now. As we drove through Phil’s hometown I saw a sign on the old Insane Asylum that they now give tours – of course Phil “had to go in”.

In Full Swing

Over the past few months so much has happened in all aspects of our lives…again – it is time to catch up!

First off I would like to say it was GREAT seeing everyone at the last FTR event of the season. Phil and I enjoy coming back to local races and spending time with all of friends that we do not get to see often enough. I especially liked seeing all of you young racers out there. So many of you have come so far this year and it was great to see you all compete!

A Mixture...

So…it finally happened – I graduated – actually I graduated late June but December 1st was the ceremony. I was not going to attend but with some persuasion – I sent off for the tickets. I must admit it was a lot of fun and unexpectedly I received a huge feeling of closure. Somehow I managed to graduate Magna CumLaude which means I graduated with honors! After the ceremony Phil, I, my Mom, and a great friend of mine (Sherry) headed out for some fun!! Incase you do not know me personally – my Mom is a HUGE part of our lives. I could not ask for a better Mother or friend and I treasure her.

QS#3 Myakka

So…we are in full swing of the FTR Quad Scramble series and Phil and I cannot be more excited to be racing closer to home but more importantly with all of our long time FRIENDS!! SADRA put on another great event in Myakka…

The weather shaped up to be beautiful for a day of racing and seeing all the kids lined up had me pumped!!! Everyone came around to cheer on the young racers – they are all great sports and are improving EVERY race!!! Last minute pep talks were being held and machines were being warmed up in anticipation of the race - the riders were anxiously awaiting the horn…

2007 WrapUp

As you all know the 2007 GNCC season has come to a close...what do I say...where do I start...all in all it was a GREAT year with a ton of awesome experiences.

As every year - the Ironman was the last round of the 13 race series. Phil, Myself, The Kraft's, and Laura Strother walked a few miles of the course to get an idea of what we were in store for. I had never raced there before so I was wanting to get an idea of what laid ahead of me for Saturday morning. The course was beautiful...as was the pitting...the leaves were all turning which was neat to see - since you know we do not get to experience that here in good ole Florida!

GNCC Rd #9 - Somerset PA

The Geico Mountain Ridge - Round #9 of the GNCC Series and the beginning of the last half of the season. With only five races left – riders begin to feel the pressure – at least I do!!

Phil and I left early for this race…we wanted to be sure and sight see some beforehand. So, after I got off of work Wednesday evening we headed out. Thursday we were in a short distance from the New Rover Gorge which is located in West Virginia off 19. We have taken the time to drive down to the bottom of this bridge in the past and decided to again this year. It is so pretty and of course relaxing. We goofed off for a bit, took some pictures, anetnesd enjoyed the quis.

Summer is HERE!

Summer has moved in and it is hotter than ever!!! Life has kept me SO busy that I do not have time to think half of the time. Time to get “caught up” – AGAIN – LoL!!

I graduate this week with my Bachelor’s Degree in IT…I can’t describe the great feeling I have – NO MORE STRESS over school! F or all of you that go to school you know that it is ALWAYS on your mind -that next test, paper, or chapter to be read. It is tough to keep up with but when it is over – it is ALL worth it!!
